The thermal Spring

Thanks to the hydrological researches and to the studies effected by the Company of the Antiche terme Acque di Sorano it has been possible to find out that the is an important flow of thermal water under the ground of the old Pieve di Santa Maria dell'Aquila, this has made a return to the antique magnificence of the spring situated above the Pieve but in a new look.

If once people used to bathe in small pools where the water was emerging from March to September, now inside the residence the is a big thermal swimming pool where part of it is reserved for children; it has two falls under which it is possible to have a natural hydro massage during the whole year round.

Thermal waters are composed of magnesium, calcium and zinc and flow out at the temperature of 37,5 degrees celsius and have therapeutic uses in artroreumatic Vascular and dermatological affections through bathing and mud therapy.

The spring then, has therapeutic properties known since the old days, besides being especially indicated for the prevention of the above physical problems it is indicated for relaxing bathes in the unique splendour of the Terme di Sorano Village. The residence is furnish also with a complete spa service where qualified personnel is taking care of all The requests and needs of their guests.

A restaurant is being set up in the Spa where it will be possible to enjoy dietetic menus.

The ground surrounding the residence is crossed by a small river which receives the outgoing native waters. It mixes its waters with another little stream in the woods which has several little hot springs and there are little wooden bridges to cross the Water.
