Church of St Maria dell'Aquila
Church of St Maria dell'Aquila and Conference Centre
At the centre of the residence, the ancient parish church named Santa Maria dell’Aquila can be found, the historical core of this modern-day residence.
A careful restoration brought to light the historical and artistic value of this ancient village.
The earliest documentation dates back to halfway through the 14th century, where it is mentioned in the most ancient statutes issued by the Orsini counts. The various churches and parishes located near springs and dedicated to St. Maria is a sign of the Christian substitution of ancient Pagan water cults. The church was in fact most probably created as a place of worship. The healing waters were linked to the depth of the land, life, fertility, purity and health.
Inside, meetings, exhibitions and events can be organised in an elegant and artistic environment.
